Upper Michigan has one of the most prevalent black bear populations in the United States. Bear hunting Seasons in Michigan start in early September, and run through the end of October. Bear hunting is open to both residents and non-residents, and hunters are welcome to use the weapon of their choice. So whether you prefer the challenge of a bow, the smoke cloud of a muzzleloader, or you're like me and prefer the odd six, we have hunting spots to accommodate your preference.
We hunt over a choice number of carefully scouted locations over bait. Baiting is a particularly successful hunting method, and we have a variety of post types. So whether you prefer a long shot, or to get up close and personal, or whether you prefer a tree stand or a ground blind, we have the equipment for your unique setup.
We service Gwinn, Amasa, and Carney bear management units.
We carefully scout locations, consistently bait, and then carefully select only a handful of those spots to place our hunters, based on consistent and high quality bear activity, and our network of dozens of trail cameras.
Depending on your hunting unit, we have a number of cabin-style lodging accommodations that round out the north woods hunting experience.
We'll help you track your bear and drag it out. And if you'd like, we offer skinning, butcher, and meat processing services as well.
